Reach people who are already planning a trip to Abuja

VisitAbuja is an independent guide to Nigeria’s capital: where to stay, what to see, where to eat, what is on this month and how the city actually works. The people reading it are in the middle of a decision — booking a room, choosing a restaurant, working out whether a festival is worth the flight.

We work with the businesses and institutions that shape what a visitor experiences here: hotels and serviced apartments, restaurants and bars, tour operators, event organisers, cultural institutions, and brands trying to reach visitors and residents at the same time.

Partnerships pay for the photography, the research and the writing. They are what keeps the guide current, and what keeps it free to read.

Who we work with

If a visitor to Abuja could spend an evening, a night or a weekend with you, there is a place for you on this guide.

Hotels & serviced apartments

From the Central Business District to Jabi, Maitama and Wuse. Rooms, apartments and the practical detail travellers actually ask about before they book.

Restaurants, bars & clubs

Nigerian kitchens, neighbourhood favourites, rooftops and the places worth staying out for. Our food and nightlife pages are among the most read on the site.

Tour operators & guides

Day trips to Zuma Rock and the Gurara Falls, city tours, hikes, craft and market walks, and the drivers and guides who make them work.

Event organisers & festivals

Concerts, exhibitions, film festivals, marathons and cultural weekends. The events calendar is built to be the place people check first.

Attractions & institutions

Galleries, museums, parks, places of worship, arts villages and the cultural bodies that run them.

Brands, agencies & government

Airlines, telecoms, banks, embassies, tourism boards and destination marketers looking to reach visitors and residents in one place.

Ways to work together

Most partnerships are a combination of two or three of these rather than a single line item. We will tell you which ones we think will actually move something for you.

01

Featured listings

A permanent, written entry on the guide page your customers already read — Attractions, Eat & Drink, Stay & Transport or Nightlife & Events — with original photography, opening hours and a link straight to your booking.

02

Events calendar

Your event listed, dated and photographed on our events calendar, and pulled onto the homepage when it is one of the ones worth building a weekend around.

03

Sponsored guides & features

A full article on your neighbourhood, your kitchen, your festival or your route, written by us to be read, and labelled as sponsored.

04

Photography & content

We shoot in Abuja every week. Partners can commission photography and short-form video of their space and use it on their own channels as well as ours.

05

Campaign partnerships

Seasonal and thematic campaigns — December in Abuja, the rainy season, a festival week — built across the site, the newsletter and social.

06

Destination & trade partnerships

Longer arrangements with tourism boards, airlines, embassies, hotel groups and associations who want Abuja represented properly to a travelling audience.

How it starts

01

You tell us about it

What you run, where it is, who you are trying to reach and what has and has not worked for you before. A paragraph is enough to begin with.

02

We come back with a fit

We look at where you would sit on the guide, what we could photograph, and what we honestly think is worth doing. If we do not think a partnership would earn its money, we will say so.

03

We build it, then keep it current

We write it, shoot it and publish it — and then we keep it accurate. A listing that goes stale is worse than no listing at all.

Where we draw the line

A partnership buys presence, not praise. Sponsored and partner content is labelled as sponsored, every time, and it is written to the same standard as everything else on the site.

Our recommendations are not for sale. We will not remove an honest assessment because a partner asked, and we will not describe a hotel, a restaurant or an event as something it is not. A guide that can be bought is a guide nobody trusts, and a guide nobody trusts is worth nothing to you either.

Let’s talk

Tell us who you are, what you run and what you are trying to reach. We read everything that comes in, and we answer.
